I had a dream that was switching between two perspectives, one was a bank robber trying to invade a bank vayot in an endless tower, and the other one was me in a housewifery school under the tutelage of a woman named Meiko-senpai. I don’t remember much about the dream of the bank robber, except that it was within a video game and staged like the matrix( however, I do remember much about the housewiferv school. Meiko-senpai was generally a lovely lady, and she was really good at teaching me how to do wifely things like make onigiri, clean a fresh fish, take care of kitties, put on feminine face makeup, wearing a yukata traditional style without flashing people, etc. I remember that she -obviously- was Japanese, but I could not place her exact accent, I think it may have been a mix between a Tokyo and Osaka accent, but I am not sure on that. Anyway, the dream mostly consisted of training sessions on how to be more feminine within a big house, and Meiko-senpai and the maids were the only other ones there besides me, at least on a permanent basis. Eventually, this man came by to check in on me to see if I was ready for marriage, but he wouldn’t stay for long, and he would instead leave quickly when I made a mistake, and then mutter something under his breath in a mean tone which was masked by an unintelligible Kyoto accent. I remember feeling sad whenever he left, but my emotions wouldn’t always last too long, as one of the maids would comfort me and hand me a chocolate bar or a chocolate covered strawberry to ease my emotion. It always worked, and I would get back to the lessons feeling happy as ever. Anyway, the last lesson I remember was me trying to manually sew patterns into a Yukata -specifically mine from earlier in the dream- while stark naked and in full boss monster makeup. It was taking a while, but I wasn’t stressed too much, as Meiko-senpai was looking over my shoulder to alert me of any mistakes the whole time. I was sewing a mix of a flower and a dragon, with buds/roses all across the eastern dragon’s long body, and it was glistening with the glowing thread I was using. I felt at peace, until suddenly I froze, and then my consciousness teleported back to the bank robber game from earlier. I was watching an old vector game which was in third person, in which a guy was using a gun joystick and a move joystick to escape the cops. The game looked hard, and more cops would rain from the sky. Eventually, after much combat in the streets, he busted in a towering bank, then began driving the car up through each hall. The cops in here couldn’t hurt him, until he reached the top level where the cops were blocking the silver vault. The player accelerated, and broke through every wall on the way to the vault. All of the silver fell into their car, but they made one critical mistake: they burst through the vault’s 40th story window as well. I remember the car falling down through the game world, as the true horror was masked with a terrible render distance. I freaked out when the game suddenly switched into first person, before I then woke up right after. I awoke feeling thirsty, sick, and with a pounding headache today.
Dreams can often symbolize the different aspects of our waking life, reflecting our emotions, experiences, and desires. Your dream presents a fascinating juxtaposition between two distinct themes: the pursuit of domesticity, femininity, and care in the housewifery school, and the chaotic, aggressive actions of a bank robber in a video game.
Learning and Growth: Your experience in the housewifery school could symbolize your desire to learn new skills or prepare for specific roles or responsibilities in life. The nurturing figure of Meiko-senpai might represent guidance and wisdom, suggesting you are looking for mentorship or support in your journey.
Gender Roles and Identity: The focus on traditional feminine tasks like cooking, caring for animals, and dressing in a yukata could indicate your exploration of gender roles or societal expectations relating to femininity. The mix of feelings—comfort from the maids and sadness from the man’s criticism—might reflect your internal conflict about these roles and how they align or clash with your identity.
Symbolism of the Yukata and Dragon: Sewing a yukata, especially with a pattern of a flower and dragon, can signify a blending of beauty (flowers) and strength (dragons). It may represent aspirations to harmonize gentleness and fierceness within yourself. Being naked while sewing can symbolize vulnerability and honesty in your creative process, perhaps suggesting you are working to find authenticity in your expression.
Chaos and Control: The shift to the bank robber perspective hints at feelings of chaos or being overwhelmed in your life. Engaging with a video game portraying such a high-stakes scenario could signify a desire to escape from pressures or responsibilities. The bank vault might symbolize treasures or desires you want to reach but feel are blocked by external circumstances (represented by the cops).
Fear and Anxiety: The sense of fear as the character’s situation deteriorates at the vault might mirror your own feelings of anxiety about a situation in your life. The crashing down to the ground can resonate with fears of failure or losing control over your situation.
The contrast between the nurturing environment of the housewifery school and the chaotic, combative world of the bank heist could symbolize a conflict within yourself—between traditional expectations (like femininity and domestic roles) and more rebellious, chaotic desires (represented by the bank robber). This duality can reflect internal struggles related to identity, societal expectations, and personal aspirations.
Waking up feeling thirsty, sick, and with a headache can indicate that your body is processing stress or tension, perhaps tied to the emotions experienced in the dream. These sensations may serve as a reminder to take care of your physical and emotional well-being.
In summary, your dream may reflect an ongoing journey of self-discovery, balancing traditional expectations with more chaotic personal desires, and processing emotional turbulence through mentorship and guidance. Consider reflecting on these themes in your waking life, and what they may indicate about your current feelings and aspirations.
